The Forbidden

Rebaa was born in the Shin'ar forests, to the Ninkuraaja People; an ancient race of humans who evolved with a deep connection to the energies of the Earth. Years ago, Rebaa was separated from her home. Learning to live among her People's sworn enemy, she dared to fall in love with a man not of her own species; the chief, Juran. In doing so, she defied every law set by the creators of humanity: the Sky Gods. But when Rebaa's adopted tribe is slaughtered by giant creatures known only as Watchers, her only refuge is torn away, leaving her to face the consequences of her Forbidden actions alone. Struggling against the never-ending winter, starvation, and deadly predators, Rebaa discovers that Eldrax, a murderous chieftain from a rival clan, is hunting her down. And he wants one thing. Her. Possessing Rebaa's mysterious but extraordinary powers would make Eldrax the most feared, powerful chieftain to walk the lands. Rebaa knows she must stay one step ahead of Eldrax if she is to escape before being eternally bound to the monster who would possess her and the secret she carries.
